It has more than 73 computer nodes with high speed Internet & Intranet connectivity. Users can access bibliographic details of the LRC resources through OPAC anywhere, thus providing 24 hours of access a day. The LRC consists of latest collection of textbooks as well as reference books (approx. 79650), national as well as international peer-reviewed journals, magazines and electronic resources on subject areas covered by the academic curricula of the Institute and other universal knowledge (approx. 333500). LRC has also made provisions to subscribe full text science and technology online journals and other national and international journals in printed form. It is also an active member of Developing Library Network and provides inter-library loan services to its users. The open access system has been adopted at all service points where users may browse and select material of their choice.

- Dr Zakir Husain Library
Dr Zakir Husain Library is the university’s central library. Established in 1920, it was named after Dr. Zakir Husain, former President of India and Jamia’s former Vice-Chancellor in 1973. Originally housed in the old building with an area of 23,038 sq.ft, the library has developed as the university evolved (deemed university in 1962 and central university in 1988). The new building was planned in 2003, and the library shifted to its present premises in 2009. The new library has a carpet area of 9,930 sq. mtrs (1,06,850 sq. ft.).
