6.Art World School After School Programs
Art world School is a professional art school established in 1997 in Portland and now located in NW Portland, close to the Beaverton, Bethany, and Forest Heights areas. It was established by Pacific Northwest artist Jiao Ying, who’s works have been shown in galleries across the Northwest. She established the school to create a learning center for students of all ages who are interested in art to learn the skills they have also wanted to, to create the art they have always wanted to. The school stresses on the importance of helping each student develop a strong basic skills set by learning the fundamentals of art, concepts, and methods first. Students are trained in all mediums of fine art such as drawing, sketching, painting, color theory, and composition.

8.Oregon College of Art & Craft
In February, the Oregon College of Art and Craft Board of Trustees approved a resolution to terminate all degree programs at the end of May 2019. After exploring a multitude of options to continue OCAC’s 112-year legacy, the Board determined closure is the only responsible path forward.
At this time, we are working diligently to ease our students into new institutions that fit their needs, and to help faculty and staff transition to the next phase of their academic and professional lives.
