Why English-speaking person is given more attention in India?

The national language of our country is Hindi. Nowadays more importance is being given to Hindi language. But despite being the national language Hindi, people who speak English are considered more sensible. There are many reasons behind this. People who speak English are considered to be more read-written and they also have more impact on the front.

The biggest advantage is that English is an international language. The English language acts as a link in building relationships with other countries. People who know English language have no difficulty in interacting with other countries, making connections and if they go to other countries to study or do some work.

If those people live in another country then they do not face any difficulty. English is a language which connects us with the whole world. At the time of interview, the person who gives maximum answer in English is given more importance than the person speaking Hindi. Even more work is done on computer in English language.

If a child studies in a Hindi medium school, it is not given as much importance to a child studying in an English medium school. Nowadays every parent wants to teach their child in English medium.

According to me every person should have knowledge of many languages. People who speak English language are considered modern. That is why in our country, despite being the Hindi national language, more importance is being given to English language. There are several specific reasons why English words are widely used. In Indian society, the English speaker is considered a modern and respected person.

Even if you do not know how to speak English fluently, but if you speak English words intermittently in a conversation, then there is a good effect on the neighbor.

While using English words in conversation, many such words are being spoken which are no longer used colloquially in Britain.

Effect of films

Bollywood cinema is also a big reason for the Englishization of conversation in Hindi. Most of the words spoken in urban areas are the product of new Hindi films. The recently released film ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ is a good example. Apart from this, the names of films like ‘Love, Breakup, Zindagi’, ‘Main Tera Hero’ have also created an impact.

Mobile phone access to more and more people is also a reason behind the increasing trend of English words. ‘Miss call’ has now become a popular word used to remember someone. It is said, “I’ll call you miss.” With the speed with which the number of English speakers in India is increasing rapidly, it seems that by 2050, 70 to 80 percent people will start speaking English. But it also has its benefits, it will open new avenues for your global job and business, it also increases confidence, you are free to work according to your talent anywhere in the world.
