1.Sasquatch Books

Based in Seattle for over 30 years, Sasquatch Books, together with our children’s imprint, Little Bigfoot, publishes books by the most gifted writers, artists, chefs, naturalists, and thought leaders in the Pacific Northwest and on the West Coast, and brings their talents to a national audience. Their passion for what they do becomes ours as we help transform their vision into beautifully crafted books, journals, and stationery products that represent the adventurous spirit and DIY lifestyles of where they (and we) work and play. In 2020, we added a new imprint, Spruce Books, that creates gift books expressly designed to appeal to teen and young adult readers. Our boutique, independent identity coupled with the market-leading muscle of our parent company, Penguin Random House, allows us to reach readers far and wide with our beautiful, compelling, and captivating books.

5.Girl Friday Productions

In 2006, publishing executives Ingrid Emerick and Leslie “LAM” Miller left the world of traditional publishing and created a company with a difference. Girl Friday was founded by working mothers who believe people do their best work when flexibility and balance are provided in abundance and without judgement. We have faith that people can be creative and collaborative and fulfill their ambitions, all while attending soccer games, caring for their parents, or visiting every national park. We created Girl Friday because we knew that more writers deserve to reach their goals and achieve their dreams. And lastly, but certainly not least, we are clear that women need to build, create, and lead.
