Our Founder, Mr. M.C Ramesh hails from the Mandur village. Born and brought up here, he travelled to Bangalore for his higher studies, pursuing his Masters of Social Work (M.S.W) at Bangalore University. In 1991, during the course of his post graduate degree, he had a discussion with his friends Mr. B.C Patil and Mr. Shivappa about their future plans once their course was completed. During this discussion, Mr. M.C Ramesh strongly felt that they could create a developmental organisation, drawing inspiration from all their exposure visits to various voluntary organisations. According to him, it was their duty to use their knowledge and skills to help the needy, laying particular emphasis on the rural masses of the society.

In 2005, five young post graduates, who had just completed their Masters in Social Work, were moved by the condition of children on the streets. They saw that young children, whose minds should be engaged in educational activities, sports and recreational activities were into begging, rag picking or even working as child labourers. Many of them were exploited and abused by elder children and their own families.
