I am a Certified Professional Midwife. I began my journey toward birthwork after the birth of my daughter- 20 years ago. I was able to accomplish my goal of natural childbirth by advocating for myself even in a medical environment at a birthing center. My desire to help others grew as I saw that many of my friends were not listened to and heard during their prenatal care and birth and not given informed choice. In 2004, I was invited to attend my first homebirth of my good friend as her support person. It was a beautiful experience to be a part of.
