I attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. I began my own study of the human body as an exercise specialist, helping people prevent, and rehabilitate, and manage, the symptoms resulting from various injuries, surgeries, illnesses and problematic postures. I then, attended The Florida School of Massage and graduated in 2015. After graduating, I began practicing massage therapy in a physical therapy office. I continue to work with people from all types of diverse backgrounds and whose demands imposed on their bodies vary greatly including: office workers, construction workers, athletes, researchers, artists, runners, dancers, nurses, doctors, pregnant women, seniors, and college students.

My interest in massage began when I had soreness in my leg that was not relieved by the usual stretching. In a few days, it was to the point that my knee would buckle out from under me and was severely limiting my activity. After 2 weeks of struggling with this, I had one massage that immediately fixed my problem. While relief doesn’t always come so quickly, it did for me in this instance. Later, I read about trigger point therapy and experimented on myself and my family. It worked! I was able to use these techniques to help people! This increased my desire to learn more about helping others experience relief through massage therapy.

I enjoy incorporating a combination of bodywork techniques to aide in the body’s healing process. By working with the muscular structure and soft tissues of the body applying fixed or movable pressure, gliding strokes, vibration, rocking, friction, kneading, compression, stretching and traction. I primarily like to use my hands, forearms, and elbows and I include an option of adding heat/ice to specific areas of tension.
