5. Birmingham Massage

It was established in 2018 by Licensed Massage Therapist, Meghan Ryan.

Meghan Ryan is a State Licensed Massage Therapist since 2017, with certification in Neuromuscular Therapy. I’m Jennifer.. I have been working as a Therapist in the Spa & Wellness industry since 2003.  Initially, I began my career as an Esthetician.   Later, I attended the Red Mountain Institute to become a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist.   As a Massage Therapist, I now have a focus on Myofascial Release Therapy, a dry therapy that helps to release long-held tension (fascial restrictions) in the body.   Having had back surgery at age 17, I’m also very familiar with addressing sciatic nerve issues.  I have training in Myofascial Release Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, as well as Orthopedic, Somatic, and Deep Tissue techniques. Working in a spa atmosphere for 12 years taught me the importance of allowing yourself a bit of regular down-time!  Just an hour or two of relaxation calms your Central Nervous System, promotes more restful sleep and helps level out ‘stress’ hormones.  Always remember that all health dysfunction and disease conditions are worsened by stress.  Doing something  for yourself that promotes relaxation and well-being is truly beneficial for your body as a whole.  At any rate, I look forward to meeting you in my studio!
