About Us: Lindsay Machine Works, Inc. was founded by Mike and Susanna Lindsay in 1994, just east of Kansas City, Missouri. Our company’s story, however, starts 14 years earlier in 1980 when Mike left Kansas City and entered a U.S. Navy machinist school in San Diego, CA. After machinist school, Mike worked on a destroyer tender, the USS Prairie, in the machine shop onboard. Meanwhile, Susanna received a Business Administration degree in 1982 from Point Loma College, also located in San Diego. After marrying and completing their time in the Navy, Mike and Susanna returned to the Kansas City area in 1984.
