Astragon Entertainment GmbH (formerly Astragon Software GmbH) is a German video game publisher based in Düsseldorf, Germany.[1] The company is a subsidiary of German video game distributor Astragon Sales & Services GmbH (formerly Rondomedia Marketing & Vertriebs GmbH). The company become known for being the original worldwide publisher of the Farming Simulator series and continues to do so in German territories.They were originally headquartered in Hagen but moved to Mönchengladbach in 2004.[1] Astragon formely specialised in publishing simulation games for Microsoft Windows, but in 2008 they moved into other areas, when they published more casual games like Wendy: Holidays at Rosenborg for the Nintendo DS.

Bigpoint has over 200 million registered users (announced in June 2011). Bigpoint.com states that 337,104,419 players are registered in the top right corner, as of 10/10/13. NBCU has featured some of Bigpoint’s games on the websites of some of its cable channels. In addition to its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, Bigpoint maintains offices in Berlin, San Francisco, Malta and São Paulo. Black Forest Games GmbH is a German video game developer based in Offenburg. The company was founded in July 2012 by a team of 5 staff members, including chief executive officer Andreas Speer, previously employed by Spellbound Entertainment, which filed for insolvency earlier that year. As of August 2017, it is a subsidiary of THQ Nordic. As of June 2019, the company employs 66 people. Following the release of Arcania: Fall of Setarrif, the game’s developer, Spellbound Entertainment, filed for insolvency in March 2012.[4] Upon completion, on 13 July 2012, it was announced that Black Forest Games was founded in Offenburg as a successor to Spellbound, employing 40 of the Spellbound’s former 65 staff. Under these 40 was most of the former management, including chief executive officer Andreas Speer.

Chimera Entertainment is a German video game developer based in Munich. The company is part of Remote Control Productions. As of July 2018, the company employs 60 people.

Chimera Entertainment was founded by the Mediadesign University of Applied Science (short MDH) graduates Alexander Kehr and Christian Kluckner together with Hendrik Lesser and his production house remote control productions (short RCP) in Munich, Germany in 2006.Kehr and Kluckner were among first game design graduates of the Munich-based design academy MDH. Kehr, having developed board and card games since he was six years old, and Kluckner already having four years of experience as a programmer, started working together while still attending the university and created the base for a team of young graduates eager to work within the games industry. The team of remote control productions provided the framework while the company’s Managing Director Lesser took over a part of the management of Chimera Entertainment.

CipSoft GmbH, or CIP, is a video game developer based in Regensburg, Germany which produces the online roleplaying game Tibia. They also market Tibia Micro Edition, a cell-phone-based version of the game. In 1995 the four German students Guido Lübke, Stephan Payer, Ulrich Schlott and Stephan Vogler worked for the first time on the online role-playing game Tibia, as a student’s project. To be contrary to the text-based games at that time, they wanted to design a graphical game which gave players a realistic view of the virtual world. Just two years later, in January 1997, the first version of “Tibia” went online on servers of the university.

Daedalic Entertainment was founded on 1 March 2007 in a small Hamburg office by chief executive officer (CEO) Carsten Fichtelmann and creative director Jan Müller-Michaelis. Prior to founding Daedalic, Fichtelmann was marketing director for German publisher DTP Entertainment. Shortly afterwards, the adventure game 1½ Knights – In Search of the Ravishing Princess Herzelinde was developed, named after the same film. Deep Silver is a German-Austrian video game publisher and a division of Koch Media.[1] Eugenio Vitale serves as the director of games development for Deep Silver.

Deep Silver was announced in November 2002, with their first release to be Anarchy Online: The Notum Wars.[3] According to Craig McNichol, who ran Koch Media’s England branch, the idea behind Deep Silver was to have a business segment that would develop games that would complement the games Koch Media was distributing on behalf of other publishers.
