- Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes
Adams’ son Escar Adams took over the business in 1921 and continued its operation until 1935 when he purchased the coffins and caskets department and founded the first funeral home in Alexander County. The Adams Funeral Home was first located on Second Street SW in Taylorsville, about a block south of the present funeral home. In 1942, the facility was moved to the old Campbell house.
