The original Lily’s Garden in Ann Arbor’s historic Kerrytown District.We have been in love with providing fresh flowers and delivering joy for over 35 years.
Our Story:
In 2004, The original Lily retired and passed the business on to a former employee. Lily’s Garden then moved from the Kerrytown Building to a new home in The Shops at Market Place, just down the block. After 6 years in our lovely spot, we relocated again. We are now next to Zingerman’s Next Door! Always family owned and operated, Lily’s Garden continues the tradition of a creative and fun Ann Arbor flower shop, houseplant, and floral event resource.
Serving individuals and businesses alike, we are just minutes away from the University of Michigan campus, as well as all area hospitals including, UofM, Mott Children’s Hospital, St Joseph Mercy and Veteran’s. Daily deliveries are also made to Muehlig, Nie, Stark and Janowiak Funeral Homes.
Lily’s Garden is family owned and operated and we take pride in every order that goes out the door. All arrangements and flowers are 100% guaranteed for freshness and quality.

Delivery Policy
A local delivery fee of $15.00 in Ann Arbor plus an additinal fee to Ypsilanti, Dexter and Saline will be added to each order, for each address. There may be an additinal fee added for certain holidays.Local delivery orders must be received before 10am, Monday through Friday, and 9am Saturday in the recipient’s time zone to assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day or may require a special delivery charge to be taken out the same day if there is a driver available.We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at specific times of the day, but we cannot guarantee it without a special delivery charge as our driver will have to re-route all our daily deliveries.
Please include a contact phone number where we can reach you on the day of delivery. Should questions arise, we may need to contact you before delivery can be completed.
Please also include the recipient’s phone number in ADDITION to your own. We are not able to gurantee successful delivery without a working contact phone number for both the recipient and the sender of flowers.
No orders of fresh flowers or any other gift will be left at recipient’s address without a signature unless we are specifically instructed to and weather conditions permit. We cannot leave flowers during inclement weather and in temperatures below 55 degrees or above 75 degrees due to their perishable nature.
We will be happy to accept your incoming international orders for delivery in Ann Arbor. Please make sure to include a working email address as we will need this to contact you if any issues arise.

My name is Tracey Flanigan and I appreciate that you have found my site! In the summer of 2010, I merged my passion for nature and flowers and my love of fine art into a floral business aptly named, Art In Bloom. Hi, I’m Danielle! I’m the primary driver of this business in its current form: I’m farm manager/the main farm worker/florist/designer/maker of plant medicines/etc… I was born in Lansing, but NEVER thought (until very recently!) that I would be farming in my hometown! In fact, growing up I didn’t think much about where the food I ate came from. It was just there. Farmers in straw hats & overalls grew it somewhere else. My grandpa grew tomatoes, muskmelon, & hollyhocks; but I don’t remember ever being involved in the process of planting or harvesting them.So, my personal path to farming was a winding one, but it began with wanting to live more lightly on the Earth & be more self-sufficient. I have always loved being outside & learning about the natural world. I became more interested in food & healing more specifically while working at a small health food & supplement store in Tucson, Arizona. For years, I steeped myself in information about homesteading, foraging, herbal medicine-making, & farming. I learned as much as I could about the food system & tried to align my habits with my values. My husband Nathan & I found began talking more & more about starting a farming operation of our own. From the beginning, our ideas included a vineyard & winery. To learn more operating a vineyard, we got involved with the nascent wine industry in Southern Arizona, & volunteered on vineyards there.Nate decided to return to school to learn more. While I focused on caring for our infant son, Nate completed an MS in Agriculture at Washington State University, along with certificates in sustainable agriculture, viticulture, & enology. After he completed his studies there & worked for a time at a farm & winery in Northern Michigan, we both decided to return to school & were accepted to Michigan State University to study Community Sustainability at the graduate level. The following spring, in 2017, we started growing—with a 20’ by 20’ community garden plot, another plot in my mom’s backyard, & a raised bed at home. It wasn’t much, but I was overjoyed to finally be taking the first tiny steps towards our dream. That same year I also did a volunteer internship at Urbandale Farm in Lansing, & began selling floral arrangements made with flowers purchased from local growers. I have a background in art & design, & recently discovered that flowers are my new favorite medium. I love this work!In 2018 I completed MSU’s Organic Farmer Training Program, which helped me acquire the hands-on skills & practical business & agricultural knowledge that is needed to be a successful farmer. The tips & ideas offered up & inspired by the farmers at the many farms across the state were invaluable. As I learned more & completed my graduate studies in sustainable agriculture, I continued to think about how I wanted to design our future farm, & this evolved.
Our vision
Nature is a powerful source of healing in my life, & more research is emerging that supports the health benefits of spending time outdoors in natural environments. We want to create space for people to have this experience. Right now we are searching for our ideal farm site, which we hope to establish in the next two years.
When we find our space, we plan to offer on-farm writing & art retreats as well as workshops & events related to permaculture & sustainable living. In this fast-paced & increasingly complex world, we want our farm to be a place of healing & regeneration: for ourselves, for others, & for the land. We hope that it will be a place where people can expand their vision of what a farm is and is for.
