Robert R. Jones M.D. did his undergraduate work at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in premedical studies. He attended medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle where he was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Lange Medical Publications Award for outstanding achievement. He completed an internship in internal medicine/emergency medicine at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City and is thus a fully qualified general practitioner of medicine. Dr. Jones then completed an extensive residency in surgery and diseases of the eye at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In his final year at Mayo, he served as chief resident of the department of ophthalmology.
