Adi and Magdalena Mata are the owners of The Little Gym of North San Antonio since August of 2017. The story of how they came to be the owners of a resale gym is quite intriguing. The two of them met while in college at The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002 and have always dreamed of owning a business together. As time would come to pass, they married, had children, and decided they would take the leap together as small business owners in a franchise that was family-centered, rooted in child development, and immersed in a joyful atmosphere.

2.The Jewel of Art Dance Studio
Its architectural design was the 1920’s Colonial Revival style. It clearly was a magnificent piece of art, considered the “Jewel” of its time. Similar designs eventually shaped the development of the Monticello Park, which became one of the most desirable areas in the 1920’s throughout the 1970’s. Unfortunately, in the 1980’s the south half of the building was demolished and left abandoned for more than three decades. The many years of neglect left the neighborhood locale severely stressed, and dilapidated.

3 San Antonio Dance Academy
San Antonio Dance Academy was established in 1990 to provide excellent dance training for children (ages 2 – up) and adults in a variety of dance disciplines. For 30 years, Owner and Artistic Director, Ms. Rosemary Cavazos Tatum, has produced weekly dance classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Mexican Folkloric, and Flamenco dance taught by San Antonio’s finest instructors. We now offer these classes with both online instruction and in our spacious studios while following all the safety protocols set forth by the CDC in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Performance opportunities are available for all registered students and include our annual Recital, a professional production like no other in San Antonio!
