3 Backstage Dance Studio
Backstage Dance Studio was established in 1987 by sisters Diane Andrews and Mary Harper, who are natives of Detroit, MI. As co-owners and directors, we pride ourselves on demanding and maintaining a high caliber recreational dance program and an award-winning competitive dance program, drawing dancers from all the surrounding counties.  Our success has been achieved by employing a dedicated, highly trained and dynamic core of teachers and front desk staff who encourage and motivate our students, along with bringing in outside professional teachers and choreographers. Our students have gone on to become professional dancers in NYC, Las Vegas and LA, as well as achieving success in theater, television and the NBA and collegiate dance teams. Many have also continued their love for dance by becoming dance teachers and studio owners. The accomplishments of our students are our greatest joy, and we are humbled by their trust in us when we see their children and grandchildren in our classrooms today.

Ballet Elite Dance Studio opened in 2001. Natalie Brum-Frazier is currently the director and owner. Our studio offers classes for age 3 – adult. Students may choose from Classical Ballet, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Modern, Acro, Leaps & Turns, Musical Theater, PBT and Pilates. For adults we offer Adult Ballet, Tap, Pilates and Stretch. Our studio is located at 4875 Coconut Creek Pkwy., Coconut Creek, FL 33063. We have four large dance rooms with state-of-the-art sprung wood flooring covered by marley. We are not a competition studio; however, select Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary students do receive the opportunity to participate in certain competitions throughout the year, by invitation and audition. Students from Ballet Elite have been accepted to such prestigious schools as: The School of American Ballet in NY, American Ballet Theater, The Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet Academy, The Washington Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, The PA Ballet, and Millennium Dance Intensive in LA for their summer intensives, as well as many other prestigious schools around the country.

Not only are we the best dance studio in all of Columbia, we were also the first dance studio to offer dance classes in Howard County, MD. The Arabesque Dance Studio opened its doors in 1966 and has continued to provide toddlers and teens with the best dancing instruction possible ever since.

THE DANCE STUDIO was established in 1982 with the purpose of teaching students to dance in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere. We emphasize technique, quality, and performance in a professional yet caring environment. Peggy Busey-Bourgeois earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. Dance is not just about movement to music. It’s an art form and a sport combined. It takes years of practice and hours of repetition. But the benefits are endless.
