3 Florida Dance Workshop
Susan (Labousier) Kickbush & Michelle (Labousier) Mandile are the mother/daughter team who founded the Florida Dance Workshop in 1991. FDW quickly became the forerunner in dance education and has repeatedly been named Charlotte County’s Best Performing Unit and voted Best Dance Studio by the Charlotte Sun. Florida Dance Workshop is a place where the efforts, abilities, and varied talents of all students are respected by their teacher, and all fellow dancers. It is our goal to make classes and rehearsals fun, but we are serious about helping each child become his or her own personal best. We teach that hard work produces results and we help our dancers to achieve the genuine self-esteem that comes with mastery of technique. These important lessons also apply to life’s future challenges. We believe in seeking, not perfection, but excellence from all students, with the understanding that it be appropriate to their age level, ability, and interest. Motiv Dance Studio is Orlando’s premiere, all-hip hop/choreography dance studio, and home to Motiv Crew as seen on NBC’s World of Dance! We bring you the commercial studio concept—much like L.A.’s legendary dance complexes. Drop-in classes are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Ballet Elite Dance Studio opened in 2001. Natalie Brum-Frazier is currently the director and owner. Our studio offers classes for age 3 – adult. Students may choose from Classical Ballet, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Modern, Acro, Leaps & Turns, Musical Theater, PBT and Pilates. We have four large dance rooms with state-of-the-art sprung wood flooring covered by marley. We are not a competition studio; however, select Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary students do receive the opportunity to participate in certain competitions throughout the year, by invitation and audition. Students from Ballet Elite have been accepted to such prestigious schools as: The School of American Ballet in NY, American Ballet Theater, The Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet Academy, The Washington Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, The PA Ballet, and Millennium Dance Intensive in LA for their summer intensives, as well as many other prestigious schools around the country.
