The Vanguard School of Coconut Grove is an accredited private day school in Coconut Grove, Florida. It focuses on children with learning disabilities and other learning issues that have average or above average IQs. Vanguard was licensed in 1961 from the original Vanguard School in Pennsylvania.

Established in 1924, The Cushman School’s first class of just 12 students took place on the porch of Dr. Laura Cushman’s home. 4.The SEED School of Miami
At SEED Miami, our students live at the school from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon. Using the gift of time that comes with a 24-hour program, SEED reaches beyond the traditional school day and teaches students to thrive in a rigorous academic environment, to be ready for college, and to develop essential character traits for lifelong success—perseverance, self-confidence, and self-discipline.

5.Pace Center For Girls Miami
Pace Miami opened its doors to the Miami Community on March 6, 2014. Pace Miami is an innovative prevention and intervention program that addresses the needs of Girls from the ages of 11-17, who have suffered trauma and consequently are failing in school or at risk of becoming involved in the Juvenile Justice system. The model is a holistic approach combining academic services and social services therefore offering small classroom instruction, one-on-one counseling, case management, health and wellness coaching and positive decision making. We believe this model encourages our Girls to find and use their voices and empowers them to realize their true and full potential. In 2015, Pace Miami was awarded the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Novo Award for Nonprofit Business Innovative Excellence. In addition, they were also the proud recipients of Switchboard’s Innovation All-Star award presented to a non-profit organization that demonstrates creative and non-traditional approaches to solving community and organizational challenges.

6.Ransom Everglades High School
A private institution with a public purpose, Ransom Everglades combines rigorous college preparation with a commitment to leaving the world better than we found it.
From the days when the school split the year between the Adirondacks and Coconut Grove, Biscayne Bay has been the true center of student life, the setting for everything from biology classes to sailing and kayaking. Stewardship of nature remains a core value. Every freshman receives a compass and is taught how to use it during a five-day Outward Bound trip to the Everglades.
