3.Another Choice-Black Children
Adoption is not new to the African-American community. As a people, we have historically taken care of our own. The NC Association of Friends of Black Children developed based on this conviction. From its eighteenth year history of proving that Black families do adopt evolved Another Choice, the state’s first African-American adoption agency focusing on recruiting adoptive homes for African-American and other special needs children.

6.Children At Heart Adoption Services
Children At Heart is a 501(c)(3) non-profit adoption agency, founded in 1995. We are approved in the State of NY and licensed in the State of NC to facilitate domestic adoptions for all US citizens living in any State. We also provide home study, and post-placement services for NY and NC residents.
While adopting our daughter in February of 1994 (pictured to the right, in 2011), my husband and I witnessed the plight of the children we had to leave behind in the orphanage. Knowing that we could not adopt all of the world’s orphaned children pointed us toward creating our own adoption agency.
