2.OLYMPIC CABLE COMPANY SDN. BHD. (Malaysia Factory)

Olympic Cable Company (OCC) began its operations in 1968 in Larkin Industrial Estate, Johor Bahru, as a producer of housing wires and low voltage electric cables. In the years that followed, the company experienced a significant growth and was acquired by PJ Development Holdings Berhad (PJD) in 1990. The acquisition saw the expansion of the Johor factory to accommodate additional machines and the production of a wider range of cable products while a new factory in Malacca was set up in 1997.

The new 5 hectares (12 acres) factory aimed to increase the production capacity & capability of the power cable manufacturing operations, to produce both aluminium cables and copper cables, ranging from low to medium voltage, up to 33kV.

OCC also actively promotes and exports its products to international markets. The setting up of a new factory in Vietnam in 2007 marks the dynamic progress of OCC from its humble beginning into an international cable manufacturing company.
