Irfan College is a co-educational independent Islamic school located in the Southwest Sydney suburb of Cecil Park. Our College was established in 2013 with 28 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and currently services over 250 students from Kindergarten to Year 9.”The term ‘Irfan’ is a verbal noun that comes from the root verb (a’rafa) which means ‘to be cognisant of’.  There are three terms in the Islamic tradition that are closely related with one another (‘ilm – Knowledge), (hikmah – wisdom), and (‘irfan – cognisance). Wisdom is the product of combining knowledge with action, and cognisance is the product of combining knowledge with love. Irfan, in this instance, is the culmination and highest order of knowledge.
