Sears Merrick, a former engineering professor at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, founded our company in 1955 in Denver. In 2013, Ayuda began performing site investigations and human health risk assessments related to PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), an emerging contaminant found in fire-fighting foam and other products. This work has proceeded under a USACE contract with direct and close collaboration with the Air Force and the Air Force Civil Engineering Center. Ayuda is only one of a handful of companies to have experience in the site assessment of PFAS releases, investigation, evaluation, and risk assessment.
On the remediation side of our business, Ayuda began performing MMRP/UXO services in 2014, and continues to perform our traditional remediation services such as soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, hazardous material surveys, and abatement and air monitoring services.
