1. University Library

Library is subscribing around 219 Indian Journals and about 34 foreign Journals. University has started to access online journals through INFLIBNET and U.G.C.-INFONET Digital Library Consortium. More than 5000 online Journals could be accessed. The library has received a large collection of gratis. The Book Attendant at the Central Library helps students to locate and procure books required by them. The students can also locate books, journals and theses through OPAC (Library Catalogue) facility of the library. The library staff ensures the cleanliness of the library. Alongwith the membership the student provided identity cards to student have been to ensure their use of library.

2. J.D. Gabani Pustakalay

Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal, Surat was started by a group of enthusiastic youngsters in 1976 under the guidance of Mr. Vrajlal S. Kamani to help the students of the lower socioeconomic strata by distribution of books at low cost in the form of a book bank. Late on Mr. Valjibhai Kesari , them Known batter as the Lion of Saurashtra agreed to donate a huge amount for library purpose. This led to the development of today’s J. D. Gabani Library.

Services: Books can be borrowed against library card issued by j.d.gabani library to the borrowers.

The library card is non-transferable and their loss should be immediately reported to the library. Although the library will take all possible care against the misuse of the library card, it is the holder of the library card who is responsible for any loss to the library due to the misuse of his/her library card. A fee of Rs.30/- will be charged for issuing a duplicate ticket/booklet.

 The borrower may return or renew the book on or before the due date. For renewing, presentation of the material along with the booklet/tickets is necessary. Renewal is not permitted if a demand is pending for the material.

The library can recall material after two weeks of issue. Materials to be replaced on reserve can be recalled any time.

If a book is not returned to the library when due, the borrower will be fined Re.1/- per day per volume

3. Leeladhar

The Central Library of University of Kota established in 2003 with aims to cater to academic interest of readers such as under graduates, postgraduates, research scholars, faculty and having collection of thousands of books including textbooks and reference books of different subjects. The central library is currently subscribing more than 90 printed journals and various electronic journals through the UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium, now known as E-Shodh Sindhu (INFLIBNET Centre) in different disciplines. The central library is also using SOUL (Software for University Libraries) for library routine works.

4. SMC Reading room Pal

The District Judge of Surat was used to handle the city administration in 1846, and hence he shouldered the responsibilities of maintaining health and hygiene and collecting the revenue, which is presently being done by the Municipal Corporation. Under the Municipal Act of 1850, Mr. Roges the contemporary collector of Surat, established the office of Municipality on 23rd April, 1852, the first meeting of which was held on the 15th The Collector of Surat was an exofficio President of the Municipality.
