Nestled along the Mississippi in Northeast Minneapolis, The Hideaway Studios is one of the Twin Cities premier recording studios.Founded in 2004 by owner\/engineer Joe Mabbott, the Hideaway quickly established itself as a home for local, national and international artists. 4.<\/b> Minnehaha Recording Company<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

The building at 4501 Minnehaha was erected in 1939 as a Phillips 66 gas station. Shortly thereafter, a single-bay auto shop was built onto the gas station.The Phillips 66 functioned as a gas station until 1964, when sporting good and air gunsmith company B&B Supply purchased the building and opened its doors. B&B supply operated for 50 years.In 2014, the building went on the market and we saw its potential. It was a stand-alone build with high ceilings and brick walls – perfect for recording drums. Once we had the city\u2019s approval, we began gutting everything and turning the raw space into an acoustically-controlled and warm environment. It took months and months of work, but we were able to build the studio we always wanted.<\/span><\/p>\n

5.<\/b> The Pearl Recording Studio<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Pearl Recording Studio opened the summer of 2011 as a retro style recording studio in the heart of NE Minneapolis\u2019 \u201cArt District\u201d. Offering both analog and digital recording services to bands, singers, ensembles, etc; the Pearl\u2019s mission has been to provide a great service with an old-school analog feel at an affordable price. The Pearl has worked with bands of every level, genre, & type of project \u2013 from Last Import to Buffalo Fuzz to Little Fevers to We Are the Willows.Now in a new space that has been built from the ground up with our own hands after the original studio burned down.
