Is There any Technology that helps the Nervous System

Have you ever thought of devices getting into your brain, nervous system and then signals are transmitted in form of a piece of information?

According to the latest survey conducted, researchers have invented, tested and concluded some eye-opening medical devices that directly get into your nervous system, transmits and displays data on to external wireless monitors. Similarly, there are other advancements say bionic devices that get plugged into your nerves and perceive information from your brain and muscular system.

Can a device tap your nervous system without damaging it?

Nowadays, medicines are as smart as humans – it can read off your brain signals and use electronics for bypass spinal injuries. But for most of these implants, there is an obstacle that runs up against your nervous system – stiffed wires and soft bodies.

To overcome such issues, researchers at the École Polytechnique Fédérale, in Lausanne, Switzerland designed a soft electronic implant that is as flexible as dura mater, a membrane that envelops the brain and spinal cord. Swiss researchers tested these implants on various animals with a damaged nervous system and make them walk again by experimenting their own invented device – a rubbery electronic implant.

Do you know more than 5 million Americans are detected with Alzheimer’s disease and the number is expected to rise in the years ahead?

Researchers are burning the midnight oil to develop a variety of therapies for the early diagnosis and treatment of such a life-threatening disease long before the symptoms are visible. Once such invention is Alzheimer’s-in-a-Dish – an experimental drug to reduce the quantity of amyloid in the brain, and blood to detect biomarkers. Hopefully, an early intervention is likely to succeed in halting this disease progression.

How is Microbiome helpful in diagnosing and treating Neurodegenerative diseases?

A microbiome is a vast army of microorganisms that protect us against germs, help to stay alive and break down food into smaller particles to release energy and produce essential vitamins.

Researchers are studying the 3.3 million genes of the microbiome to discover how gut microflora, psychiatric and neurological disorders like Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis are associated with each other.

There is a highly-skilled team of Neurologist in Mumbai working on some mind-boggling inventions to diagnose and cure brain as well as neurological disorders at an early stage.
