Rural women can get big relief

In the General Budget of 2018, the government took special care of rural women. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley promised to provide free gas connections to 8 crore women through Ujjwala scheme. In the first phase of this scheme, the target was to provide free gas connections to 5 crore women. The amount of loan for women of Self Help Group was announced to be Rs. 75,000 crore and National Rural Livelihood Mission to more than Rs. 5 thousand crore.
